Unreadable text with lot of a's or sequence of numbers

Symptom

The text is displayed as either

െയാണെന്നു പ്രഖ്യാപിക്കുകയുà´

or

&# 3385;&# 3378;&# 3405;&# 3378;&# 3402;&# 3342;&# 3381;&# 3376;&# 3391;&# 3372;

Solution

Make sure the View->Encoding is Unicode(UTF-8). If it is so and the problem persists, follow these steps:

1. Open 'notepad' by Start->Run->type 'notepad'->OK
2. Copy and paste the unreadable text in notepad
3. Click File->Save As
4. In the 'Save As' window, click on Desktop
5. Give File name test.html, Save as type All files and Encoding ANSI. Click 'Save'.
   
6. On your Desktop, double click on test.html and a browser window will open up.
   
7. Make sure the View->Encoding is Unicode(UTF-8)
